Pot Odds Calculator
Facing a bet with a draw? Enter the pot, the amount to call and your outs. This calculator gives you the pot odds, the equity you need to break even, your rough drawing equity, and whether calling is profitable.
How the math works
You compare two numbers. Equity needed is the share of the time you must win to break
even: call ÷ (pot + call). Your equity is estimated with the rule of 2 and 4 —
multiply your outs by 4 on the flop (two cards to come) or by 2 on the turn. If your equity is higher than
the equity you need, calling is profitable on pot odds alone.
Don't forget implied odds
Pot odds only count the chips on the table now. If you'll win more on later streets when you hit, a slightly "unprofitable" call can still be correct — that's implied odds. Learn the full picture in our guide to pot odds and expected value.
